Hello everyone my name is Joe Baker and I am from New Lexington Ohio. Like a lot of you I am a pool player at heart. I started playing pool at the age of ten when my father had bought an old valley bar box and made a small game room in the garage. I didn’t get real serious about the game until I was eighteen and able to play in some local leagues.
In 1997 I began working in a pool hall in a neighboring town (Lancaster). That is where I learned to do some basic repairs such as tips and shaft cleaning on a modified shaft spinner that they had. That is where my love of cue repair began. In 2000 I opened a paintball retail store. In 2003 I purchased a cue repair lathe and put it in the back room where I began honing my cue repair skills. In 2004 I purchased a Cue Smith Deluxe lathe and Cue Smith inlay machine and started building my first cue. From that point on I have been hooked on cue building. After closing my retail store I moved my equipment and turned my three car garage into my workshop and that has where it’s been ever since.
I occasionally build cues for sale but the majority of my cues are custom built to order out of the finest material available. I build traditional v-groove / half splice cues and inlayed cues using state of the art cnc machinery. So if you are looking for that one of a kind custom cue that you’ve always dreamed about please call or email me to discuss any possible custom cue designs you may have.
Thank you for visiting my
site and have a great day.
Joe
